2015 Trails West Bantam Cup
Imagine this – you load up all the kids in the van and drive them to one practice or one game because – amazingly – they play on the same team. Sounds like the perfect dream for hockey parents right? For many of us, it is a wonderful dream. But for most families, the reality is more like divide and conquer. One parent goes in one direction, the other parent goes in the other with scores being texted back and forth. For one memorable week of the year, the Trails West Bantam Cup, held in Calgary Alberta, allows siblings to play on the same team for a fun-packed tournament. At the 2015 Tournament, we follow one set of brothers – Nick and Sasha Longley – as they fulfill their lifelong dream of playing on the same squad.
All proceeds raised from this tournament go to the Trail West Hockey Association to keep hockey registation fees affordable for families.
