J. Bryan Butta

J. Bryan Butta is a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and sound designer. His abilities have led him to study under a number of musical giants, including; Mulgrew Miller, Cecil Bridgewater, Rich Perry, Scott Wendholt, Jim Rotondi, GRAMMY award winning composer and arranger Pete McGuinness and Rolling Stones trumpeter Kent Smith.
He has performed at numerous festivals and concert halls across the United States, including; NJPAC, the historic Tarrytown Music Hall, Killborn Hall, and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola at Lincoln Center. Having spent years playing in numerous orchestras, ensembles, bands, and various creative situations, Jeff possesses an invaluable understanding of how to work with musicians and individuals from varying walks of life, coupled with the talent to write for a vast range of applications.
J. Bryan has been recorded in an expanse of genres; from Jazz, to Classical, Funk, Hip-Hop, Pop and Experimental Rock. Jeff has gone on to perform with 14 time GRAMMY award winner Pacuito D’Rivera, Jazz legend and GRAMMY award winner Benny Golson, Joe Lovano, Steve Wilson, Pete McGuinness, Rhoda Scott, Rich Perry, Vincent Herring, and GRAMMY winning vocal group The New York Voices.
In 2014 Jeff shifted his focus to Film  and Media Composition. Since, he has written soundtracks for numerous Short Films and animations, TV, and online Media, as well as, Commercial and Video Game.  Jeff currently resides in the Hudson Valley, New York. See more at jbryanbutta.com
