Why Play Rec Hockey?

Calgary, Alberta ~ Minor Hockey Players have a choice when it comes to their playing careers. They can either play community hockey or recreational hockey, affectionately referred to as “Rec Hockey.” Since 2002, Rec Hockey has become a popular alternative for hundreds of boys and girls, who love to play the sport, but want time set aside for other sports, hobbies, part-time jobs and activities. For many, it’s the perfect choice. Rec Hockey provides a set schedule with an evenly balanced league roster for competitive play. HockeyXtra spoke to Recreational Hockey Calgary (RHC) President James Mills, as well as a host of players to see why Rec Hockey is the perfect fit for a busy lifestyle.

    For Midget Rec Hockey
    Are there practices?
Are you on the ice 2 times per week? (Thursday Saturday). Or is it games only?

RHC Midget Hockey is the same for all the other leagues. No practices and usually two games per week.

Got something to say?
